Commenting on winning an Award, Dr Asha Patel (CEO & Clinical Psychologist) said:
I am super proud that we have won the Health & Social Care Award because it is everything that we stand for; an excellent vision, strategic direction, clear leadership and most importantly, social and community impact. Congratulations to the team and our community for this amazing achievement! What a fantastic end to 2022!
The Awards were organised and hosted by Social Enterprise UK in partnership with Cwmpas, Social Enterprise Northern Ireland and Social Enterprise Scotland.
Commenting on the Awards, Peter Holbrook Chief Executive of Social Enterprise UK said:
“The last year has been a difficult one for businesses across UK, and it has been no different for social enterprises. The Awards were a real evening of hope and inspiration and brought home the sheer ingenuity, adaptability and determination of the social enterprise community which has continued to deliver for the people and communities they work with and support.
“The winners include businesses which are breaking down barriers for groups marginalised in the workforce, organisations at the heart of local economies, and those finding innovative ways to tackle the climate crisis. The ever-growing movement of social enterprise really represents business at its best.”
Entertainment at the Awards came from Alex Horne and the Horne Section, comedian Shazia Mirza, and the Black Sheep Collective. Trophies were made by social enterprise Designs in Mind and the catering was provided by The Clink Events – a social enterprise running training and support programmes in prisons.
