Just under 2 ½ years ago, I was facing redundancy from a role that for the previous 3 years I had given my all, physically and emotionally. A role that I loved and loathed in equal measure. Whilst this redundancy was a frightening time, as anyone having been made redundant will appreciate, it was also a blessing!
Then, sitting one day shortly after my redundancy, having yet another search through Indeed, I saw a job that made my heart skip a beat. That job was with Innovating Minds.
I had previously come across Innovating Minds, so I knew of the company and Dr Asha Patel. I have never submitted a CV so fast. Within a week, I was sitting in my interview and by the next one I had started my new job as Relationship Manager.
Over the last couple of years, Innovating Minds has grown in team size, product offering and reach. I work with a team of wonderful professionals, many of whom I recruited. We have expanded our products to enable us to support the mental health and wellbeing of adults and children, all of which has been done in collaboration and buy-in from the whole team, from initial product ideas to development and implementation.
I am proud to work for an organisation that continually not only looks forward, but looks at the here and now, asking ourselves, do we make a difference? How do we know that? Do we need to change anything? What do we need to do to be better and do better? When we identify it, we do it!!
Fast forward to today, I am now the Operations Manager for Innovating Minds; a company that I believe in and truly love working for and with people that I love working with. I get to use the skills and experiences that I have developed over my career, and I get to see the difference that our programmes make to the professionals that we train and the children that they work with.
The day of that Indeed-Job search, my planets were all aligned!
