TES SEN Show: Focus on SEMH

This year our CEO, Dr Asha Patel (Clinical Psychologist) is presenting two seminars at the largest SEN conference in the UK. This provides Innovating Minds to share the experience and skills we have developed by supporting schools to develop a whole school approach to mental health.

The seminar on 5th October 2018 will be based on how to introduce reflective and restorative practice within the educational setting, and how to over come the challenges along the way. This seminar is also support by Laurie Cornwell (Principle Headteacher, Orchard Hill Academy) who has transformed two schools for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

On 6th October 2018, Dr Patel will be discussing how to implement a WHOLE school approach to mental health. She will share the challenges and the rewards of supporting schools to transform from a punitive based culture to a therapeutic culture informed by trauma and attachment models.

Innovating Minds will also be exhibiting, so come and visit us on stand 251.
