Craig had previously always worked following leaving school. In 2010 he decided to further his education and completed a degree in teacher training, he gained a 2.1 and went on to begin his PGCE. However, due to his Anxiety and depression Craig took a leave of absence and has been out of work since then. Craig had been out of work for 9 months when he begun working with Innovating Minds on the BBO Evolve programme.
As a result of the impact that his anxiety and depression had on his day to day life and his ability to work Craig was referred to Innovating Minds by the local Job Centre. He attended sessions for 5 months, with the main goal of improving his mood, reducing his anxiety and returning to university or gaining employment.
Craig received both 1-1 and group therapy sessions to provide him with coping strategies and tools for his depression and anxiety. Craig has begun studying a BSc in Mathematics with the Open University part-time. He has also gained employment as a Teaching Assistant. Craig has successfully met his goals and feels that there is a significant improvement in all areas of his life following the support he received from Innovating Minds.
Craig had this to say about the support he received from innovating Minds:
“I cannot thank you enough for the help you have given me over your time working with me. I’ll be ever indebted to you.”
